Motivation behind Next Play Sport:
I am seeking to aid athletes with information and support. I remember my search for taking the next step in my athletic and academic career being a confusing time. Much of the research, reach out, and leg work I had to seek out and complete on my own. I had always been under the impression that playing in college meant the colleges came looking for you, which is only true for a very select number of athletes.
The truth is the best thing an athlete can do is have a plan and options. The problem comes that it is difficult to come up with a plan and know your options at such a young age without support. Having gone through that process without support made me realize how valuable it is, and moved me to help others have an opportunity to benefit from taking the next step in their athletic and academic career.
Helping young athletes create their own opportunities and use their sports in order to advance both on the field and in life is something that is very important to me.
